Yum Cha Chinatown – The perfect place to enjoy a leisurely weekday Dim Sum Buffet

This is like the 3rd time I’ve blogged about Yum Cha Restaurant in Chinatown, lol. Been coming here for its Weekday Dim Sum High Tea Buffet for years and the food has never let me down. Whenever we have family or friends visiting us in Singapore, Yum Cha is one of the places that we would bring them to ‘cos we just love that traditional teahouse ‘noisy’ atmosphere where dim sum is served in pushcarts. Pretty authentic experience. If you still haven’t been here, you’re really missing out.

Some time back, I found this Yum Cha buffet deal on Qoo10 which I would like to share with you all.

Ok, it isn’t exactly a straightforward promotion or deal. The actual price of the dim sum buffet is S$23.80++ per person which works out to be S$28.01 after addition of service charge & GST. However, if you often shop on Qoo10 and have accumulated coupons and Q-points, it will be very worth it because you can’t find any other discounts elsewhere. By using the Qoo10’s Live10 app, you’d already get a S$10 cart coupon (every month) which you can use to offset a min. S$50 purchase i.e. equivalent to 2 dim sum buffets. To increase your amount of Q-points (1000 points = S$10 off), just keep playing MameGO and spin the wheel at Qlounge (if you’re lucky, you might even win a S$10 gift card).

Non-Qoo10 users would probably think this is a waste of time or it’s just too much work but if you religiously use the Qoo10 and Live10 apps to accumulate points and coupons, you’ll be surprised to know how much savings you’d actually get if you shop online a lot. Good for Hubby and I because we buy a lot and very often on Qoo10. Recently we had been purchasing furniture, groceries, food, tech stuffs & gadgets via Qoo10 and we actually managed to save hundreds of dollars just by using coupons and Q-points. ??

So yep, we bought the Dim Sum Buffet on Qoo10 and headed down for high tea.

The meal was as good as always. My recommended (must order) picks would be the Fish Roe Siew Mai, Steamed Pork Ribs with Garlic, Phoenix Claw, Prawn Wanton Crisp, Shrimp Beancurd Roll, Prawn & Mango Sesame Fritters, Crispy Silver Fish, Paper Chicken Wings, Fried Chicken in Thai Sauce, Baked Mini Egg Tarts, Crispy Red Bean with Banana, Mango Pudding and Lemongrass Jelly.

Here’s the menu (taken from their Qoo10 listing) for your reference:
