Brauhaus Restaurant & Pub Part 2

This is probably one of my two favourite pubs (besides Muddy’s) in Singapore now. I had a craving for fruit beer again so I brought a new friend along to try the special beers and of course, its ever popular pork knuckles (again). This was a special night because we had witnessed a guy singing an out-of-tune rendition of Bee Gees’ Words before going on his knees with a bouquet of flowers and diamond ring to propose to his girlfriend. It was quite hilarious to listen to his singing but again, it was rather touching to see love in the air, just like the Chinese saying “有情人终成眷属“. We cheered and clapped. He got his bride.
Mango beer ($13.00)
I had once again discovered a gem. Such refreshing, tasty beer with a tinge of mango flavour. I could probably gulp down several bottles of this.
Chocolate beer ($13.00)
This was quite a unique beer too which my friend had ordered. Give it a good sniff, you’d smell the strong fragrance of chocolate in the beer. The funny thing was that the taste wasn’t strong but it was still a nice brew to enjoy.
Pork knuckle beehoon ($9.50)
One of my colleagues highly recommended this beehoon earlier so I thought why not, let’s try it. The pork knuckles used here were the canned types which were really tasty. The beehoon was well marinated with the gravy and we chowed down the entire plate in no time. A simple dish that gave a home-cooked flavour.
Whole pork knuckle – small size ($35.00)

The best part of the night would be this. Pork knuckle full of chewy collagen (not fats). Juicy and succulent meat. What else needs to be said? It’s just AWESOME! Just eat!
