Salt-Roasted Chicken Recipe with Seah’s Spices

I was out grocery shopping with Godma earlier when she mentioned to me that she had made an excellent Emperor Herbs Chicken using prepacked spice mix from Seah’s Spices brand. She made it sound so good so I also bought a few varieties of spices to try at home.

I started with making Salt-Roasted Chicken. This packet contained 2 sachets of spices that was sufficient to marinate 600g of chicken (about half a bird) each so I could use it for 2 meals. The chicken was all that was required and the instructions were all provided on the back of the packet.

I didn’t turn the chicken midway as I wanted the chicken skin to crisp up with a little char. My husband and I loved the end result – it was a flavoursome salt-roasted chicken of restaurant standard. The flavour was salty, savoury and very appetising to go with steamed rice. The packet of spices cost under S$2 from the supermarket and was just so easy to prepare. And there wasn’t any added preservatives or artificial colourings too. A highly recommended product!
