Shahi Maharani North Indian Restaurant

North Indian food is often characterised by its thick gravies and yoghurt and the most popular dish that we often associate North Indian food with will definitely be the Tandoori Chicken which many people love. I was first introduced to Shahi Maharani @ Raffles City Shopping Centre many years ago and each time I went, I would order the same old things but they never did fail me once.

Shabnam Baig ($14.90)
Fresh button mushrooms very delicately cooked in a creamy blend of fresh tomatoes & onions. A must for mushroom lovers because this dish will complement the next.

Garlic Naan ($3.50)
Before roasting, this naan is sprinkled with garlic flakes and fresh coriander. Dipping this into the Shabnam Baig tastes heavenly although it is equally delicious on its own.

Tandoori Milawat ($24.90)
Mixed tandoori grill – cubes of chicken tikka, fish tikka, tandoori prawns, sheekh & chicken kebabs served sizzling.

Tandoori Chicken (a quarter at $10.90)
Tender spring chickens are marinated in whipped yoghurt into which a variety of spices are deftly added. These are then roasted in tandoor by means of skewers. Wonderful smokey taste. Thumbs up.
