The Bravery Cafe @ Jalan Besar

Discovered The Bravery Cafe some years back and it’s now one of my secret hideouts in Singapore whenever I needed my ‘me’ time. There’s something really charming about this cafe. Perhaps its the rustic interior and laid-back atmosphere that makes me feel somewhat calm and free.

The peaceful environment here makes this an ideal place for anyone to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Be it a catch-up with your BFFs, an intimate brunch with your significant other or a more formal meeting with a business acquaintance.

Or just come here alone to while away the afternoon with your laptop (or a book) and a good cuppa. That’s what I like to do. ๐Ÿ™‚

I highly recommend their Lavender Latte ($5.50) that is infused with a lovely floral fragrance. As we all know, lavender has a calming effect which is why this drink could not be more apt. And of course, it just looks so pretty.

And if you’re feeling peckish, why not try their Pancake Stack ($15) that comes with 3 pieces of soft, fluffy pancakes served with sliced banana and ricotta cheese. I like that the pancakes are not overly dense and heavy. The pistachio bits scattered around the pancakes lend a really nice nutty flavour and crunchy texture too. Overall combination is simply heavenly and comforting.

Feel recharged already.

The Bravery Cafe is a Muslim-owned work-friendly cafe that provides free wifi and power outlets. There is no GST and service charge. Brownie points. ๐Ÿ˜€
