Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

Thank you Tong Garden Singapore for this box of goodies which I had received before CNY but had only waited till now to enjoy because there were just too much snacks to eat at home. Variety is the Spice of Life. ?

Well I’m sure most of you in Singapore are familiar with the Tong Garden brand of nuts & snacks (老字号 – long-established brand) that are always readily available in supermarkets and online grocers. However, it was only after receiving this box of their best-selling products that I realised I had totally underestimated the range of products that Tong Garden had carried – there were actually many more ‘new’ items that I wasn’t even aware of previously.

Perhaps I hadn’t been looking at the cereal drink section in the supermarket for a long time so I really didn’t know they had healthy cereal drink sachets like these. I liked these interesting flavours with nutritious ingredients (always good to try eating a bit more healthy!) and that they were cholesterol free, had no added preservatives & colouring and were suitable for the lactose-intolerant.

Sample packs devoured in no time ?

I think Tong Garden should make more of such small packaging products because it’s so convenient to bring them along when out and it’s kinda helpful as we wouldn’t be eating way too much’ nuts and snacks unknowingly ‘cos we couldn’t gauge the amount consumed. Haha.

Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

The classics that I would buy every now and then. Particularly loved the Honey Sunflower Seeds. ??

Wait a minute. Crispy Seaweed with Almond Slices? Now, that’s new to me. I don’t really eat much seaweed because of my thyroid issue but they look good. Ooh, and I love those sweet roasted chestnuts – good on their own or even when cooked with rice.

Regular peanuts and my hubby’s favourite Wasabi cashew nuts & macadamias (he loves anything wasabi!). I preferred the Honey Roasted ones that were subtly sweet and very fragrant.

Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

These were the two new flavours I had tried. Both smelled really good when I opened the packets – redolent of sweet cranberries and fragrant coconut. Tasted delicious too. And because they were oven roasted, they weren’t oily at all. Not sweet either so it was just all about the natural nutty flavour of almonds.

Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

I’m not a big fan of wasabi-flavoured snacks or green peas but I’m sure Hubby will finish them all anyway.

Tong Garden Nuts & Snacks

My favourite of all had got to be the Almonds with Dried Cranberries. The combo was a perfect marriage like peanuts with raisins. Nutty almonds and sweet cranberries – absolutely delicious. Have to go supermarket to buy a few more packs!

If you’re a nuts and snacks person, you might want to stock up on some Tong Garden products that will come in handy when you need to satisfy those between-meal hunger pangs. Definitely healthier than potato chips & fried stuffs! ???
