ToTT Store @ Dunearn Road – A One Stop Shop for Kitchen Supplies

Last month, I received a Mayer brand Dolce Cake Maker from OpenRice Singapore (a local online dining guide) for Christmas but there was a problem with the set so I got it exchanged at ToTT over the weekend and also had a good time exploring the store at the same time since it was my first time there.

Here’s how the baby looked like:

In my favourite classic white. So APPLE! I love! Haven’t tried out the cake maker yet as I haven’t been baking lately but will do a review on this product as soon as I’ve used it.

Firstly, I must say unless you drive or take a taxi, this place is quite out of the way and cumbersome to get to. I met up with my godma in Toa Payoh and then we had to change 3 buses to get here. Refer to ToTT’s website on buses and driving routes.

ToTT 1

The ToTT store is basically a kitchenware wonderland (also Asia’s largest kitchen store) consisting of a mega huge showroom with everything neatly presented on shelves and with plenty of space to walk in between and just shop at your leisure. It reminds me of a more upmarket Sia Huat (outlet is at Temple Street) as it houses everything related to cooking, baking and food service. Whether you’re a home cook looking for kitchen accessories like me or a professional chef and/or restaurateur looking to equip your new restaurant or eatery, you can find anything and everything all under one roof here.

ToTT 2

One distinctive thing that I really appreciate while shopping at ToTT is that you get a variety of brands or makes for the same item so you can feel, touch and compare and decide which suits you best before you make your purchase. Of course, it also means you get a range of prices to consider depending on your budget. Low prices may not necessarily mean poor quality. Expensive items may not be more functional than cheaper alternatives. So when I was shopping here, I did take a long time to scrutinise the products and that was just the fun of it. The husband always says I waste so much time looking at kitchenware when everything is the same to him. It’s NOT!

ToTT 3

This is my favourite section with probably hundreds or thousands of different crockery items! I just love buying bowls and plates of various designs!

ToTT 5

And the baking section of course! They have very pretty muffin cups!

ToTT 4

There is also a small Jasons supermarket within the store so you can grab some groceries at the same time.

ToTT 6

ToTT has its own bistro as well that serves up local food, finger snacks and desserts.

ToTT 7

After all the shopping and walking, it’s nice to just take a break here to rest your feet and enjoy a drink and waffle.

ToTT 8

The waffle was decent but the ice cream tasted weird. It was a cross between vanilla and rum & raisin. Maybe the ice cream maker wasn’t cleaned out properly when they were making a new batch of ice cream.

ToTT menu

Don’t expect gourmet eats here but they should be good enough to fill your tummy.

ToTT organises regular cooking classes too. Check out their schedule here. Also, if you’re interested to throw a private party or organise a team building activity, they have event space and studios for rental.

If you think coming to ToTT is just too much of a hassle, you can shop online at their website and enjoy free shipping with a minimum purchase of S$80 (till 14 February 2014, usual S$200) or get S$5 off with your first order of minimum S$50 spend.

Happy shopping!

I really want to go to this place. I tried on Saturday but there was no parking. Maybe I should try again first thing and have better luck. Your pictures have just made me want to go even more, it looks like kitchen heaven!! haha

Oh yes, it is paradise there! So many things to see, simply spoilt for choice. You must go if you like kitchen stuffs. Sime Darby Centre houses different offices too so parking is probably not available because Saturday is still a working day for most? Maybe you can try going on Sunday ๐Ÿ™‚ have fun!

    Hi Geri
please quickly try the “Mayer Dolce Cake maker”, I am an amateur in baking and is looking for something easy. If this can bake bread, all the more better. Cheers! Sally
