Hubby and I were at Geneo Mall to collect our race pack when Pasta Express caught our fancy. No queue, no hype—just a whim that had us taking some home for lunch. Turns out, the best carbs sometimes find you. 🙂

How Pasta Express Works
You can either select from their prefixed flavours or customise your own creation.
Every bowl gets made to order, which means you’re getting fresh, hot pasta every single time.
What We Tried: The Flavour Breakdown
Chicken Alfredo ($9)
This comes with cream sauce and spaghetti, loaded with button mushrooms, chicken thigh meat, and a sous vide egg. The chicken pieces are tender, and there are mushroom slices with garlic scattered throughout. Very garlicky flavour – which I absolutely love – plus you get a lovely bit of crunch from the garlic. The spinach leaves add colour and a fresh element that cuts through the richness.
Meat Lovers ($10.20)
Same cream sauce and spaghetti base, with smoked duck, pork bacon, chicken thigh, and sous vide egg. The bacon really shines here. That salty bacon flavour comes through beautifully, whilst the egg adds extra creaminess and richness to every mouthful. Pure comfort food done right.
Creamy Mushroom ($8.40)
Cream sauce and spaghetti with sous vide egg, mushrooms, capsicum, and cherry tomatoes. The cherry tomatoes and green peppers provide a bit of freshness and crunch from the veggies. It’s a satisfying vegetarian pasta that doesn’t feel like you’re missing out on anything.
Laksa Cream + Spaghetti ($4.40)
We came across another Pasta Express at Changi City Point and gave their Laksa Cream Sauce Spaghetti a go. Since a minimum of three toppings is required, we customised ours with smoked duck ($1.60), sous vide egg ($1), spinach ($1), and Brussels sprouts ($1), bringing the total to $9.
You get to pick from four spice levels. We picked spicy, which I believe just means they add some chopped chilli padi to give it that kick. It’s a little salty compared to the other flavours we tried, and doesn’t quite have the laksa taste we’re familiar with. Still, it’s packed with spiced flavours and overall very creamy.
Final Verdict
One thing about their pasta impressed me most – even though we brought it home and didn’t eat immediately, the spaghetti didn’t become soggy. It still had a good bite to it. Ample sauce, ample ingredients throughout. I particularly love those garlic slices scattered in the pasta – each mouthful feels satisfying and complete.
The prices are reasonable too, especially considering the generous portions and fresh preparation. This has genuinely become my go-to takeaway place for pasta in Singapore. When you find a spot that delivers consistent quality, maintains proper pasta texture even during takeaway, and doesn’t break the bank – that’s worth returning to time and again.
