queic by Olivia at Jewel Changi Airport: A Cheesecake Experience Worth Every Dollar

queic by Olivia at Jewel Changi Airport wasn’t on our original plan. Hubby just collected his new iPhone from the Apple Store and needed time to fiddle with it. We needed coffee. Then we spotted queic by Olivia, and Hubby’s eyes lit up. He’d been wanting to try their cheesecakes after seeing them all over social media.

The cafe isn’t huge. Limited seating. Open space setup, basically sandwiched between retail shops and human traffic. Saturday crowd meant we waited a bit for a table. Nothing terrible though.

What We Ordered

Iced Americano ($6.50)

Hot Americano costs $5.50. Add a dollar for ice. Simple.

I wasn’t expecting much. But this was a good, robust brew. Very smooth. No acidic bite at all. Solid coffee at queic by Olivia.

Olivia’s Signature Slice ($16.40)

Blue cheese, cream cheese, almond sable.

I was skeptical. Blue cheese? In cheesecake? I love cheese, but pungent, funky blue cheese isn’t my thing.

One bite changed everything.

The blue cheese delivers bold, intense, savoury flavour. It hits different. The balance is perfect. I wasn’t put off at all. Every bite was pure enjoyment. I’m not about to buy blue cheese wedges at the supermarket, but I get why it works here.

The middle runs beautifully. Near the crust, it firms up slightly. The crust itself? Firm, hard, absolutely delicious. Like a buttery cookie. Seriously, what can beat this?

Dubai Chocolate ($24.50)

Cacao almond sable crust. In-house pistachio paste. Toasted kataifi dough. 70% chocolate cheesecake. Tahini. Ground pistachio.

This is a 4-inch single portion. Better to share though. Very rich. Very indulgent.

The ingredient ratio is spot-on. Despite the dark chocolate cheesecake cream, the cheese taste stays subtle. Not too sweet overall. Chocolate flavour dominates, but the texture remains pure cheesecake. The kataifi gives that crisp, crunchy bite. Exactly what you want from Dubai chocolate.

queic by Olivia - Dubai Chocolate

I’m not exaggerating. This is the BEST Dubai chocolate creation I’ve had. Period.

So many places jumped on the Dubai chocolate bandwagon because it’s viral and trending. Most deliver subpar results with cheap ingredients. queic by Olivia makes the $24.50 price tag worth it. They use top-notch ingredients. You can taste the difference.

It’s not cheap. But it’s good. I’m happy to pay for this as an occasional treat.

Final Thoughts

Life is too short for bad desserts. queic by Olivia has moved up to a top spot for me. One of the best dessert cafes in Singapore.

Prices sit on the higher side. But you get what you pay for. This is one of those rare occasions where money feels well spent. Their desserts deserve a Michelin star. Where else can I find another cheesecake that beats this?

If you’re at Jewel Changi Airport, make time for queic by Olivia. Zero regrets! 😉
