Chinese Pork Chop Recipe 中式猪扒

Granny used to make ‘fusion’ Western food quite often when I was little. Mainly pork chops and chicken chops that she would marinate with Chinese seasonings and then served with several other dishes with rice. I thought of replicating her style of cooking with this Chinese Pork Chop Recipe. The meat is redolent of oyster sauce and is both sweet and savoury. It’s very, very close to what she had made before. 🙂 Success!

Kept the presentation really simple so only paired the pork chop with some lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes.

Felt really emotional as I was making and eating this ‘cos I have been missing Granny a lot these past few weeks. It’s just one of those moments when something you see brings back fond memories of a loved one who is no longer around.

嬷嬷,这个是给你的。我好想,好想你哦。
