I’m missing my favourite BBQ chicken wings from Chomp Chomp Food Centre. Haven’t been there for a long while now.
Wanted to bring Uncle A (J’s uncle from Canada) to Chomp Chomp when he visited Singapore earlier but the itinerary we planned for him became so action-packed that we couldn’t squeeze in the time to go in the end, lol. Nevertheless, we all had fun. And it was really great meeting Uncle A for the first time too. We had so much to talk about because we had a lot in common. I was surprised that he showed similar interest in Chinese history, world politics and international affairs too. Seriously, I hadn’t had a great convo with anyone for a long, long time. Thank you Uncle A for an amazing week! ?
Today, I’m sharing this Grilled Chicken Wings Recipe that you can easily make at home. You do not need an outdoor grill because these wings can be cooked (grilled) in the oven. But if you’re planning for a BBQ party, you can use this same recipe as well to marinate the chicken wings the day before. This way, all the delicious flavours of the marinade can penetrate the skin and meat of the chicken wings thoroughly.
By using the oven, you can also create that caramelised surface on the skin. But you’ll have to be careful as you’ll need to watch the oven and make sure you flip the wings midway. If not, the wings may end up getting badly charred and become bitter-tasting.
These wings are sweet and savoury. The meat is so moist and it just falls off the bone easily. Extremely addictive so make more to share. ? Enjoy!
