Since I blogged about Nakhon Kitchen last year, I had been back to the restaurant countless times whenever my craving for Thai food kicked in. It never fails to satisfy my palate and tummy every time.
When I came back from my latest Bangkok trip, I had a really bad hangover (+ weight gain too, oops!) because I had so much good food while there and I just couldn’t get over them, lol. Recently, when the foodie gang wanted to do a catch up meal, I just told everyone, “Thai food, please.” ?
Usual dishes I would get at Nakhon Kitchen Ang Mo Kio are the Homemade Thai Fish Cakes (S$6 for 4 pieces), Deep Fried Boneless Chicken Wings (S$4 for 2 pieces), Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup (S$6) and Green Curry Chicken (S$8). Since there were 4 of us, we ordered additional Papaya Salad with Seafood (S$8) and Deep Fried Grouper with Sweet & Sour Sauce (S$22).
Not going to give detailed comments on the usuals we would have – you can read about it in my previous post (link provided at the top of this post).
But since it was my first time having papaya salad and grouper here, I shall share my review. The papaya salad was spicy and quite shiok to eat. Loved the crunch of the green papaya and the tender seafood (prawns & squids) too.
The grouper was fresh with no fishy taste and the sauce was sweet but quite appetising too. I would actually prefer the fish to be fried for longer so it would have more crisp and crunch.
All in all, another satisfying meal as always. All these dishes plus 4 white rice and 3 drinks amounted to S$71. Totally worth it. ?? ??
