Life Is But A Dream

I drew inspiration from a poem that my childhood friend had written for me two decades ago. To reflect the times when I lost track of where I was heading to during the growing up years. Many times, I really wished life was just a dream so when I wake up the next morning, everything would be back to normal. Obviously, it was just a wishful thinking on my part. At the end of the day, life is merely a learning journey.

Life Is But A Dream
by Geri Tan

If life could be a dream or play
Like children playing in the hay
Or pups and kittens out to stray
Vogue in having her own personality
Exclusive, she’s one and only
Gaiety is her cup of tea
Exquisite is what you see
Repressive is never to thee
Intuitive, she hopes to be
Through experiences she learns to be
A better person from deep within
Now, who do you think this person might be?
